1 Microsoft Flow Integration in SharePoint2 OneDrive for Business and SharePoint
Users of SharePoint and OneDrive for Business now support a diverse range of formats. Among them are DICOM images, Adobe’s Photoshop and Illustrator, and Acrobat (PDF). The real update here is the additional support of 3D files. Microsoft has added support for 3MF, FBX, OBJ, PLY, and STL formats in both services. This is a cross platform offering, which means the formats work across Windows 10, Mac, and Linux. Microsoft says the cross-platform support comes without the need to install and browser plug-ins. Adding to the release, DICOM image support will allow healthcare users to see MRIs, CT scans, x-rays, and more through OneDrive and SharePoint. Finally, Microsoft has also updated support for its own VSD and VSDX formats.
Microsoft Flow Integration in SharePoint
Last month, Microsoft introduced SharePoint document libraries support in its IFTTT-like service Flow. It is also for Flow to be launched on demand. This is achieved by a single button on modern lists and libraries. The new integration allows users to build a Flow across a team and let them place their input into a document library as metadata. This is ideal for users who want to share a new document through a team and see updates.
OneDrive for Business and SharePoint
Microsoft brought the two platforms closer together in January. The company debuted SharePoint Sync to OneDrive for Business customers. Users can now work will all of their team site files, including those inside Microsoft Teams and OneDrive folders.
