Let’s start with the IdeaPad S540, which has been upgraded to feature Intel’s 8th Gen Core i7 or AMD’s Ryzen 7 3700U processors. There is also a configuration option for Nvidia’s GeForce GTX 1050 discrete graphics cards. Elsewhere, the IdeaPad S540 looks slimmed down compared to its previous generation, mostly thanks to bezels that are now 25 percent thinner. Lenovo has also drafted in some of its premium laptop features, such as a privacy guard for the webcam. In terms of specs, the S540 comes in 14-inch or 15-inch 1080p Full HD display sizes, up to 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of SSD storage. The device will be available in April and June. The 14-inch Intel model will cost $879.99, which the 15-inch version will be $849.99. Finally, the 14-inch AMD variant will start at $729.99. Lenovo also unveiled a new IdeaPad S340, which gets the same processor options as the S540. Again, 14-inch and 15-inch models with up to 12GB of RAM are available. This device has a slick aluminum and carbon fiber finish and will start at $369.99 for the 14-inch Intel and $449.99 for the 15-inch. The AMD starts at $429.99.
ThinkPad
A new ThinkPad was also debuted with a new X390 generation. Lenovo has bumped the screen size to 13.3-inch 1080p display this year and says the bezels are now 50 percent slimmer. Processor options are limited to the 8th Gen Intel Core vPro i7 with up to 32GB of RAM. Other specs include up to 1TB of PCIe SSD storage and a battery that delivers nearly 18 hours of up time. Connectivity is solid, including a Thunderbolt 3 port, USB-C and a HDMI port. The ThinkPad X390 is arriving in June and will start at $1,099.
